Thousands of people pass through airport gates every day, but for most of us, we focus on just one or two people.
The photos I took at the San Diego airport are intended to depict and convey the original blueprint of the most genuine and honest emotion we as humans experience- real love.
Having experienced so many intimate and touching moments, I often find myself capturing these beautiful images with tears in my eyes or a goofy smile. Countless hours of hardship and longing for each other -- when they walked out the door, it was all over. This is the time to greet when you realize that life is meaningless without life, and life is the beacon you built for our turbulent souls.
We only allow ourselves to be vulnerable to people we truly trust and love -- everyone in these pictures is at their most vulnerable. There are all kinds of dynamics and personalities at work, some are shy and withdrawn, while others are full of energy and emotion. No matter who we are or what culture we come from, one thing is eternal and that is love.
At the airport, I knew that true love can't be spoken, I felt and portrayed it in the embrace, the kiss, the look in each other's eyes, and I was happy to capture it in my photography. Love is both gentle and strong. After witnessing such exciting moments, I believe that yes, love can conquer everyone.
